Veneer grades indicate the overall quality of the wood and the presence of any visual defects. Generally, veneers are divided into 5 categories:
Extra
Selected veneer sheets with a smooth surface and no visible defects. Only minor variations in the original wood grain are allowed.
1 - 2 grade
The veneer has excellent quality. There are no cracks, scratches or dents. There is a minimum number of knots. The surface texture and color are high quality.
3 - 4 grade
The veneer has a good quality with some tolerance for small cracks, knots, and dark spots. However, the presence of rot is not acceptable.
Mix (1 -4 grades)
The pack may include sheets of different grades, primarily 3 and 4, with all their respective advantages and disadvantages as defined by GOST (Techical data sheet).
